Acrostic

Acrostic is defined as a short verse composition, so constructed that the initial letters of the lines, taken consecutively, form words. Acrostic may or may not rhyme.

Good Friday

Gods only son .
On the cross hung .
On Calvary .
Dead his body .

Forsaken not .
Remember that .
Incarnate love .
Did rise above .
Alleluia .
Yahweh we pray

What Goes Around (my attempt)
Whatever you do, wherever you go, consequences will follow on your
Heels. Your actions today influence the outcome of tomorrow,
And if those actions are taken with deliberate evil as the source,
Then expect problems to arise.
“Foul deeds will rise, though all the earth o’erwhlem them, to men’s eyes.”
Claudius is a prime example of what happens to those that
Only think of themselves. He
Murdered King Hamlet and
Even went so far as to take Gertrude as wife, believing no-one
Suspected him of any wrong-doing or lies.
“Foul deeds will rise, though all the earth o’erwhlem them, to men’s eyes.”
Alas, young Hamlet knew better, and
Rightly avenged his father’s death, an eye for an eye, a life for a life.
Oh what tragedies occur in the middle of the night,
Under the pitch black sky, with God as your only witness.
Now the only thing keeping your secrets safe is
Deeply buried within your soul, mask your face into a false disguise.
“Foul deeds will rise, though all the earth o’erwhlem them, to men’s eyes.”
Gravediggers and bones, skeletons and rotten flesh,
Open wounds festering with hatred, mistakes buried in the
Earth. Seven deadly sins; lust, gluttony, greed,
Sloth, wrath, envy, and pride, all ending in your demise.
“Foul deeds will rise, though all the earth o’erwhlem them, to men’s eyes.”
A word of wisdom from a suffering soul, two wrongs never make a
Right. You can choose a life made uncertain with little white lies,
Or a life with truth at its core, and surety as its path.
Undertake this challenge,
Never doubt in the power of truth,
Death has no power over those who live righteously, for what comes around goes around.
“Foul deeds will rise, though all the earth o’erwhlem them, to men’s eyes.”
